We got the Thomas & Friends Electric Train Shipwreck Set!
We bought another Thomas & Friends Electric Train because we couldn’t resist this Shipwreck Rails Set!
Thomas the Tank Engine comes barreling down a large drop off into a 360-degree spiral that leaves him loaded with loot at the end!
The Thomas the train electric sets are geared towards ages 3-6 years old but this particular set is one will have everyone gathered round because of the cool drop-off that sends Thomas soaring down the ship!
It’s over 6′ long and includes a battery-operated Thomas the Tank Engine electric train that goes around the track.

Our Thomas & Friends Electric Train Shipwreck Review
We took pictures of our Thomas the Train electric set (see below) but really the video does it more justice because it’s hard to capture the intensity of the drop off. Thomas catches a treasure chest at the bottom of the 360-spiral that is really hard to catch in just a picture.
Thomas & Friends Electric Train Shipwreck Features..
This Thomas & Friends electric train has so much going on..
- There is a 360-degree spiral plunge
- A ship anchor that goes up the main mast when Thomas comes down
- A treasure chest drops into Thomas’ little cart when he comes
- Over 6-feet of track to travel
- Made by Fisher Price toys
This electric train set is easy to put together but pretty complex in design. What’s cool is you can keep putting the treasure chest back and Thomas will come around and get it again. That was definitely the best part of this whole set is that treasure chest dropping in!
Shipwreck Rails Track is over 6-Feet Long!
The full track is over 6′ long and it has an obstacle course for Thomas to navigate. The track is very well thought out for so much complexity. Everything worked exactly as it was supposed too.
Thomas the Tank Engine is Pulling a Little Cart!
The Thomas & Friends electric train shipwreck set comes with Thomas and he’s pulling a little cart in the back that will catch the treasure on it’s way down the spiraling drop off.
Thomas climbs the track up to the top of the ship where he drops off into a 360-degree spiral.
Thomas Catches the Treasure!
At the bottom of this drop off is a ship with a treasure chest that drops into his little cart.
The treasure drops in the back every time! While Thomas comes rushing down the drop off to pick up his treasure, the little anchor on the side of the main mast in the center goes straight up!
Thomas the Train runs on Batteries
The little Thomas the Tank runs on 2 “AAA” batteries that are not included, so be sure and grab some. Thomas the train has a little switch on top that turns him on and off. You have to be sure to turn him off because he will just keep going and going until he runs out of battery juice.
Building the Thomas & Friends Electric Train Shipwreck Set
This Thomas & Friends electric train set took me about 45 minutes to build altogether.
It comes with full color instructions to put it together and all the pieces are marked so that you know that you’re using the correct part of the track. There was no way Tyler could build this Shipwreck set on his own but he can snap the different pieces of track together by himself.
This Thomas & Friends Shipwreck set has a lot more action packed into than the 5-in-1 Thomas the Train electric train set we purchased prior. We still love our starter kit but this shipwreck has that drop off that’s pretty intense.
Thomas TrackMaster Electric Train Sets
All the pieces from the these electric train sets are compatible with one another, you can build a giant track if you connect them all. These Thomas & Friends electric trains are cool toys for boys 3-5 years old because they are not too complex for them but still massively entertaining. It’s made by Fisher Price toys.
