Sling Shots Are More Fun with a Rocket Attached to the End!
We originally saw Rocket Copters on the TV, they played the commercial and my boys (including my husband) we’re sold! My four year old was letting me know where I could buy them because they flash the name of the stores on the bottom of the screen. You’ve never heard a four year old say Walgreens so well! Rocket Copters are rockets that you fire out of a sling shot, I mean how much more fun can you get?
You can also find Rocket Copters on Amazon if you’re in a hurry and don’t want to drive all over town trying to find some.
How Do You Shoot Rocket Copters?
They shoot really high up in the air, the box says up to 120-feet and that’s true, but you have to get a really good pull. My husband demonstrates which way to hold your slingshot to shoot the Rocket Copters. You have to put it in the sling shot just right.
There are 6 rocket copters and 3 sling shots. It launches like a rocket and flies like a helicopter.

Flip the Switch To Light Rocket Copters Up!
Each Rocket Copter has a switch that you have to turn on before you put it in the sling shot. Each one has a light and built in sound effects, it makes rocket launching noises when it’s in the air. The light really is SUPER bright like the box says. It’s just a tiny little LED bulb but it’s really bright for the spec that it is.
Rocket Copters are made for ages 8 and up, and even though my 4 year old could sling the copter, it was difficult and I could see where he might get hurt because after all, it’s a sling shot basically. It’s a sling shot with a light up rocket that you fling in the air, probably not the safest toy for little kids – but Tyler is brave AND the box says “great for all ages.”
There are six rocket copters in a pack, which is good because you will probably lose a couple in the neighbors yard, we did. You can’t help but lose a couple if you’re shooting them in your neighborhood, you could take to an open field and probably keep an eye on them better.
My images are not my best because it’s really hard to get shots of a moving object at night as I’m sure you can imagine. Each rocket copter is placed in the sling shot and fired into the air. When it comes down, it comes down like a helicopter because of the way the rocket tip is shaped.
